Steve, Croatian rapper Ludin, recounts journey from Zagreb to New York

Steve, a Croatian rapper known as Ludin, has shared the story of his transformative journey that began ten years ago. Facing extreme poverty and a lack of employment opportunities in Zagreb, he decided to leave everything behind with only 25 euros.

Using a bicycle, he embarked on a long-distance journey toward Portugal in hopes of finding work and supporting his family. Despite facing challenges such as sleeping in parks and on streets, and receiving financial help from Croatian and Serbian communities abroad, he successfully navigated his way through Europe. After reaching Portugal, his travels eventually led him to New York, where he currently resides.
