Steve Guerdat wins FEI Jumping World Championship

Swiss rider Steve Guerdat has become the first Swiss rider to win the FEI Jumping World Championship. Competing in Aachen, Guerdat and his 13-year-old Selle-Français mare, Dynamix de Belheme, completed five demanding rounds without a single fault to secure the title.

This victory completes a career-defining collection of major titles for the 44-year-old, who is already an Olympic, European, and World Cup champion. The win is particularly significant following a period of physical struggle; Guerdat had previously faced severe back issues and underwent two surgeries to address a herniated disc and neurological symptoms that had threatened his ability to compete.
