Steve Hackett and Steve Rothery unveil album 'The Roaring Waves

Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett and Marillion guitarist Steve Rothery are set to release their first collaborative instrumental album, "The Roaring Waves," on 28 August through InsideOut Music. The project, recorded intermittently over nearly a decade, features seven cinematic compositions inspired by the sea and memory.

The duo has issued a second single, "Red Dragon," accompanied by a music video that highlights a hurdy‑gurdy intro, heavy guitar riffs, and sitar‑styled guitar work. The album will be available in several formats, including a limited CD + Blu‑ray mediabook, a standard CD, and a half‑speed cut 180 g LP from Abbey Road Studios, with artwork by Simon Ward.
