Steve Hackett reflects on Genesis Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction

Guitarist Steve Hackett has shared his recollections regarding the induction of the English progressive rock band Genesis into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Reflecting on the event, Hackett noted that while there was interest in the band performing, Phil Collins was unwell at the time, and the specific lineup had not worked together for many years. The induction ceremony featured a tribute by the band Phish, with Trey Anastasio delivering the induction speech.

Hackett also expressed his respect for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as an American institution, noting the significance of celebrating artists both during their lives and posthumously.
