Steve Hilton outlines California gubernatorial campaign priorities

Republican gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton has outlined several key policy priorities for his campaign in California, focusing on reducing living costs and regulatory burdens. During a recent appearance, Hilton proposed lowering gas prices to $3 by suspending fuel standards and reducing regulatory costs associated with programs like the low carbon fuel standard. He also pledged to cut utility bills in half, provide tax exemptions for the first $150,000 of income, and ease water regulations for farmers by restructuring the state water resources control board.

Hilton also criticized the state's high-speed rail project, suggesting that funds should be redirected toward other infrastructure, such as expanding Highway 99.
