Steve Keim hires lawyer after DeAndre Hopkins drug test allegations
Former Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim has retained legal counsel following accusations made by wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins regarding a 2022 drug test.
In a social media post that has since been deleted, Hopkins alleged he was “set up” during his tenure with the Cardinals, claiming a “contaminated drug test” led to his six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy. Hopkins suggested the incident resulted in a loss of 13 million dollars.
Keim has issued a firm denial, stating that the accusations are “completely false.” In a public statement, Keim asserted that he did not contaminate, alter, or manipulate the testing process or its results. He noted that the allegations attack his professional integrity and reputation, and he intends to use legal channels to address the matter through his attorney, Raees Mohamed.
