Steve Lacy releases new album “Oh yeah?” with debut sales projections

Steve Lacy’s sixth solo album, “Oh yeah?”, is slated to debut at No. 14 on the Billboard 200 with an estimated 34,000 first‑week units, according to industry projections. The release follows the June drop of the single “the feeling” and includes guest appearances from SZA, Erykah Badu, Cecile Believe and Tyler, the Creator.

The album launch party was held at Sister Dreamer, an installation and sculpture park in South Central Los Angeles owned by artist Lauren Halsey. Attendees were served a variety of dishes, including king‑oyster mushroom with agave germ and branzino with pomegranate molasses. Lacy addressed the crowd, expressing nerves and urging fans to “send this shit to the moon,” before performing the album live and concluding with an a cappella rendition of “the feeling.”
