Steven Adams warns GTA VI release could impact NBA performance

NBA player Steven Adams has predicted that the upcoming release of the video game GTA VI could negatively impact performance levels across various US professional sports leagues, specifically during November.

Speaking at a Houston Rockets press conference, Adams suggested that the massive cultural phenomenon and time commitment required by the Rockstar Games title might distract players, potentially altering their rest and recovery routines. He noted that the impact could extend beyond athletes to include coaches and scouts, as the intense interest in the game absorbs significant time and attention.

Adams anticipates a dip in competitive quality throughout November, with expectations that performance levels should stabilize in December once the initial novelty of the game subsides. The game is scheduled for release in mid-November.
