Steven Borden injured during AEW All Out tag team match

During the AEW All Out event, a tag team match featuring Steven Borden and Darby Allin against Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher was halted following an injury to Borden. The incident occurred when Borden attempted a high-risk maneuver and struck his head on the mat. He was subsequently taken from the ring on a stretcher.

Despite the severity of the scene, it was announced during the event that Borden remained conscious and had not sustained major bodily harm. Following the incident, Borden informed his teammate Darby Allin that he does not intend to quit professional wrestling.

Jeff Jarrett commented on the injury via ‘My World w/ Jeff Jarrett’ (h/t Wrestling Inc.), describing the experience of seeing a young athlete being wheeled out on a gurney as an ‘eerie feeling.’ Jarrett noted that while Borden is a highly athletic individual, the high-risk nature of the industry can lead to such sudden incidents.
