Steven Cheung addresses debt and savings fund amid financial crisis
Former entertainer Steven Cheung has addressed his ongoing financial crisis, revealing that he holds a savings fund purchased around 2015-2016. He claims that after making monthly contributions of over 5,000 HKD, the fund is fully paid and is expected to be worth approximately 3 million HKD by the time he reaches age 50.
Cheung also clarified his electricity bill issues, noting that unpaid balances had accumulated to nearly 10,000 HKD, leading to a power disconnection. He confirmed that Master Qi Xian Yu (Qi Shifu) stepped in to pay a bill of over 12,000 HKD to restore service.
Master Qi Xian Yu revealed that her total financial assistance to Cheung’s family has exceeded 100,000 HKD. She disclosed that she had previously considered gifting him a property to alleviate his rent burdens and even discussed adopting his four children, but her husband and relatives strongly opposed the idea. Cheung continues to face scrutiny regarding his debts, which he claims total approximately 1 million HKD, while his wife, Man Wan, has highlighted the difficulties of raising four children, including a son with autism, amidst their financial instability.
