Steven Cheung discusses challenges of raising autistic son

Hong Kong entertainer Steven Cheung has spoken emotionally about the challenges of raising his second son, who has been diagnosed with autism and ADHD. During an interview on the program ‘Health Is Good’, Cheung tearfully described his son’s self-harming behaviors and the difficulties of managing daily routines, expressing his primary hope is for his son to learn self-care skills before Cheung passes away.

To support his family of six, Cheung has transitioned from entertainment work to manual labor, including roles as a logistics porter and delivery worker. He expressed a commitment to being responsible for his children despite the heavy financial burden.

In contrast to Cheung’s public stance on responsibility, his wife, Au Yin Man, has recently posted several distressed messages on social media. Her posts highlight severe domestic hardships, including frequent power cuts and the need to move houses due to financial instability, while also hinting at potential separation to ensure the children’s well-being.
