Steven Daniel arrested in Glasgow organized crime raid

Steven ‘Bonzo’ Daniel, a prominent figure in the Scottish gangland scene, was arrested during an early morning police raid in Robroyston, Glasgow. The 46-year-old is believed to lead the Daniel crime family, which has been involved in a violent 25-year feud with the rival Lyons family.

The arrest was part of Operation Venetic, a UK-wide law enforcement action. Daniel was taken into custody in connection with serious and organized crime, firearms, and drugs offences.

In a simultaneous operation, 39-year-old Steven Gordon was also arrested in Garthamlock. Gordon faces charges related to serious and organized crime, firearms, drugs offences, and conspiracy to murder. Assistant Chief Constable Dave Ferry stated that the enforcement action underlines the commitment to bringing those involved in serious criminality to justice.
