Steven Gerrard expresses no regrets over rejecting major European clubs

Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has stated he has “no regrets” regarding his decision to decline interest from several elite European football clubs during his career. Speaking on The Overlap Daily, Gerrard revealed that Real Madrid and Inter Milan showed interest in him during Jose Mourinho’s tenures at those respective clubs.

Additionally, Gerrard noted that Bayern Munich explored the possibility of signing him in 2015 as a potential replacement for Bastian Schweinsteiger. Despite acknowledging the prestige of such offers and observing the success of players like Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham abroad, Gerrard maintained that he was not interested in leaving Anfield at the time, noting he was enjoying his football under manager Brendan Rodgers.
