Steven Gätjen recalls career-changing call from Stefan Raab

Television presenter Steven Gätjen recently shared a recollection of the phone call that fundamentally altered his career. In May 2011, Gätjen received a call from a suppressed number, which he initially mistook for his mother. Instead, he found himself speaking to Stefan Raab.

Raab offered Gätjen the opportunity to host the popular ProSieben show "Schlag den Raab," succeeding previous host Matthias Opdenhövel. Gätjen accepted the offer immediately, and his first episode aired just two weeks later. Despite initial criticism from viewers regarding his hosting style, Gätjen hosted the format until its final episode in December 2015 and became a prominent figure at the network.
