Steven Spielberg discusses new UFO film ‘Disclosure Day’

Director Steven Spielberg and actress Emily Blunt have shared insights regarding their new film, ‘Disclosure Day’. The movie, which explores the mystery of human existence and the truth behind UFO phenomena, has recently been released in Japan.

Spielberg detailed the technical efforts used to create the film’s archival footage. To enhance realism, the production team recreated various recording formats used across different decades, including 16mm film, mid-20th-century kinescopes, and video tapes, to depict Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) sightings.

In a remote interview, Spielberg discussed the challenges of maintaining secrecy in the age of social media, noting that protecting plot details is significantly harder now than in previous eras. Blunt also commented on the highly controlled and creative process of working on the project, which involved strict confidentiality regarding the script.
