Steven Spielberg to be honored at MoMA Film Benefit

Filmmaker Steven Spielberg will be the honouree at the Museum of Modern Art’s (MoMA) annual Film Benefit, which is presented by Chanel. The gala is scheduled to take place in New York on November 12.

As part of the tribute, MoMA will host a screening series at the Roy and Niuta Titus Theaters celebrating Spielberg’s body of work. Eight of his films are currently part of the museum’s collection, including ‘Jaws’, ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’, and ‘E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial’.

Chanel has served as the lead sponsor for the museum’s annual film benefit since 2011. The announcement follows the release of Spielberg’s latest film, ‘Disclosure Day’.
