Steven Spielberg to direct sci-fi thriller ‘Disclosure Day’

Steven Spielberg is set to direct the original science fiction thriller ‘Disclosure Day’. The film explores themes of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) and the government's concealment of extraterrestrial life, drawing inspiration from the 1947 Roswell incident and 1970s conspiracy thrillers.

The story follows Margaret Fairchild (Emily Blunt), a weather forecaster in Kansas City, and Dr. Daniel Kerner (Josh O'Connor), a cybersecurity expert working for a mysterious organization known as ‘Wardex’. As Daniel attempts to leak classified information regarding non-human existence to the world, he and Margaret discover they share a mysterious connection to extraterrestrial encounters from their childhood. They must evade Noah Scanlon (Colin Firth), the leader of Wardex, who seeks to suppress the truth to prevent global instability.

The production features a screenplay by David Koepp and music by longtime Spielberg collaborator John Williams. The cast also includes Eve Hewson, Coleman Domingo, and Henry Lloyd-Hughes.
