Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day to debut digitally on July 21, 2026
Steven Spielberg’s new science‑fiction film Disclosure Day, starring Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson and Colman Domingo, opened in theaters in early June 2026. The movie earned about $230 million worldwide against an estimated $115 million budget, but fell short of the roughly $300 million needed to break even.
Universal Pictures announced that the film will become available for purchase or rental on digital and video‑on‑demand platforms on July 21, 2026. Initial U.S. services will include Apple TV, Prime Video, Fandango at Home and other VOD outlets; a later streaming rollout on platforms such as Peacock is planned.
Critical response has been solid, with an 80 % Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 70 % audience rating. The film’s premise follows meteorologist Margaret Fairchild, who suddenly speaks all languages, and cybersecurity expert Daniel as they try to expose a decades‑long extraterrestrial cover‑up.
