Steven Yeun to star in Netflix supernatural drama ‘Pagans’

Steven Yeun, the Emmy-winning actor known for ‘Beef’, has been cast as the lead in the upcoming Netflix series ‘Pagans’. Yeun will also serve as an executive producer through his company, Celadon Pictures.

Developed by showrunner Joshua Zetumer, the series is described as a supernatural drama that blends emotional family storytelling, horror, and humor. The plot follows Gus, played by Yeun, a widowed father struggling to care for his two children. While his son is portrayed as typical, his relationship with his daughter, Alice, takes a sinister turn, evolving from a strained bond into something more unsettling.

Netflix secured the project with a straight-to-series order following a significant bidding war involving approximately 15 to 18 studios and platforms. The production includes executive producers Drew Goddard, Sarah Esberg of Goddard Textiles, Jonathan van Tulleken, and Erica Kay, alongside Yeun and Christina Oh.
