Stevie Wonder's Recent US Appearances Highlight Ongoing Musical Hiatus

Stevie Wonder performed as a musical guest at the opening of the Barack Obama Presidential Center in Chicago in June and appeared at the 2025 Met Gala in New York. In August 2024 he took the stage at the Democratic Party convention, endorsing presidential candidate Kamala Harris and singing his classic “Higher Ground.”

Despite a career that has sold over 100 million records, Wonder has not released a full album since 2005’s *A Time To Love*. He announced two new albums in 2013 that never materialised, and only issued two standalone songs in 2020.
