Östgötatrafiken faces criticism over poor bus and train synchronization
A commuter has criticized Östgötatrafiken for poor scheduling, claiming that bus services no longer synchronize with the Östgötapendeln train service. The commuter, who has traveled to a nearby hospital for 15 years, stated that commuting has become significantly more difficult over the last four years and expressed dissatisfaction with regional leadership.
In response, Jimmy Johansson, traffic manager at Östgötatrafiken, stated that while schedules may not meet every individual's needs, the agency aims to provide maximum utility for the greatest number of people. He noted that the Östgötapendeln serves as the backbone of the network and that efforts are made to align bus and tram schedules with train arrivals. A new autumn timetable is scheduled to take effect on August 17.
