Stiftung Warentest evaluates coffee quality and pricing

Stiftung Warentest has released findings from a study of 15 ground filter coffees. The Eduscho Klassisch brand from Tchibo received a “very good” rating for taste, making it the only product in the test to achieve that specific score in the sensory category. However, due to “satisfactory” ratings regarding pollutants and packaging declarations, its overall score was “good (2.0).”

In separate retail news, the supermarket Penny is offering a discount on Dallmayr Crema d'Oro coffee beans. Starting November 5, one-kilogram packs will be priced at 13.99 euros, or 12.99 euros for customers using the Penny app. This represents a discount of approximately 36 to 40 percent compared to the recommended retail price.
