Stiftung Warentest ranks Aldi nut-nougat cream above Nutella
Stiftung Warentest conducted a comparison of 18 nut-nougat creams, evaluating taste, nutritional value, and pollutant levels. The Aldi private label ‘Nusskati’ emerged as a top performer, sharing first place with Kräm’s ‘dark hazelnut cream’ with an overall grade of 2.0. Notably, ‘Nusskati’ received a 1.5 for sensory qualities and was identified as a price tip at approximately 50 cents per 100 grams.
Nutella secured third place with an overall grade of 2.2. While testers praised its aromatic and vanilla-like flavor, the product ranked lower due to its nutritional profile, specifically its sugar content of 57 percent. Nutella is also significantly more expensive than the top-rated discount option, priced at 84 cents per 100 grams.
