Stiftung Warentest ranks nut-nougat creams
Stiftung Warentest conducted a comparative analysis of 18 nut-nougat creams, evaluating taste, nutritional value, and pollutant levels. The top spot was shared by the Aldi brand ‘Nusskati’ and ‘dunkle Haselnuss-Creme’ from Kräm, both receiving an overall grade of 2.0. Notably, ‘Nusskati’ achieved a sensory score of 1.5 and is considered a price leader at approximately 50 cents per 100 grams.
Nutella secured third place with an overall grade of 2.2. While testers praised its aromatic and vanilla-like flavor, the product ranked lower due to its nutritional profile, specifically its high sugar content of 57 percent. Nutella was also noted to be significantly more expensive than the top-rated discount options, priced at 84 cents per 100 grams.
