STIHL rolls out new gardening campaign in New Zealand

STIHL has launched a new advertising drive in New Zealand under its “Charged for Life” platform, developed with creative agency True. The campaign features a short video showing a Kiwi gardener becoming ‘addicted’ to the STIHL GTA battery‑pruner, positioning the tool as a gateway to the wider STIHL range.

Stace Hall, Head of Marketing NZ and Head of Brand Marketing Oceania for STIHL, said the pruner encourages repeat purchases, calling it the “ultimate gateway tool”. The spots were directed by comedy filmmaker James Anderson, with casting aimed at capturing a weekend‑warrior spirit. The rollout will span broadcast video‑on‑demand (BVOD), social media and outdoor advertising, with production by Two Heads, sound by Liquid Studios and media buying by OMD.
