Stillwater Critical Minerals expands Montana resource estimate

Stillwater Critical Minerals Corp. has announced an updated and expanded mineral resource estimate for its flagship Stillwater West project in Montana. The 2026 estimate includes 805.1 million tonnes of inferred resources grading 0.34% total nickel equivalent (NiTEq), containing 4.8 billion pounds of nickel, copper, and cobalt, along with 7.4 million ounces of platinum, palladium, gold, and rhodium.

Additionally, the update establishes a maiden indicated resource of 29.4 million tonnes grading 0.38% NiTEq. The project, which is located adjacent to Sibanye-Stillwater Ltd.’s operating mines, is positioned as one of the largest undeveloped polymetallic critical mineral systems in North America. The company noted that the updated estimate incorporates new drilling, refined geological interpretations, and comprehensive geophysical survey coverage to provide a stronger technical foundation for future mining studies.
