Stillwood Camp launches fundraiser after major water main break

A fundraiser has been launched for Stillwood Camp near Cultus Lake after a catastrophic water main break forced the cancellation of summer operations. The damage, discovered on August 14, was caused by tree roots encompassing and compromising the supply line.

Executive director David Seeley reported that the incident resulted in estimated losses exceeding $200,000 due to repairs, cancelled programs, and necessary refunds. While the initial break has been repaired, the camp reports ongoing issues with undiagnosed leaks in the system. A GoFundMe has been established to help the camp recoup its financial losses.
