Stine Goya unveils SS27 collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week

Danish designer Stine Goya returned to Copenhagen Fashion Week with her Spring/Summer 2027 collection titled “Before”. The line draws on Florian Illies’s book *1913: The Year Before the Storm*, using the historic surge of artistic exchange in 1913 as a lens for today’s cultural and technological shifts. Goya describes the collection as grappling with fashion’s current climate and broader humanity, noting a “domineering feeling of both possibility and also the not knowing of what is coming next.”

The show featured a circular runway that placed guests in a shared central space, echoing the idea of a continuous, cyclical narrative. Design elements included silk‑scarf garments, richly woven jacquards, intricate beadwork, crystal‑like bustier drapes, and a sharper aesthetic that moves away from the brand’s earlier romantic style. The collection also referenced AI‑driven changes in production and perception, linking past artistic revolutions to contemporary uncertainties.
