Stipe Miocic offers insights on Alexander Volkov and Alex Pereira

Former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic has shared his perspectives on several prominent fighters following recent events. Regarding the heavyweight division, Miocic expressed confidence in Alexander Volkov following his victory over Rizvan Kuniev at UFC 333. Miocic stated that Volkov is championship material, noting his toughness and speed, and suggested that Volkov could secure a title if given the opportunity.

Miocic also commented on Alex Pereira’s return to the heavyweight division. Despite Pereira’s previous loss to Ciryl Gane, Miocic believes Pereira is capable of winning a third belt and making history. Pereira is scheduled to face Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 335 in an attempt to secure his first heavyweight win.

Additionally, Miocic weighed in on a potential lightweight matchup between Alexander Volkanovski and Justin Gaethje. While supporting Volkanovski’s move to a higher weight class, Miocic predicted that Gaethje could “pick him apart” due to his striking style.
