Stittsville to host annual Pride Week flag raising ceremony

Stittsville is hosting its annual Pride Week flag raising ceremony at Village Square Park on August 23. The event, held as part of Capital Pride, features guest speaker DJ Powrhaus, a local educator and business owner. The ceremony is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at the corner of Stittsville Main and Abbott.

Additionally, local transit service provider OC Transpo will implement seasonal schedule changes starting August 30. These updates include increased frequency for LRT Line 1 on weekdays and the introduction of new 500-series express routes between Tunney’s Pasture and Kanata. The fleet expansion also includes over 150 new zero-emission buses.
