Stjepan Lukšić finishes Brač 100K ultramarathon, funds cancer support

Croatian swimmer Stjepan Lukšić is in the final stage of his ten‑day, 100‑kilometre ultramarathon around the island of Brač, with less than 20 km remaining. The event, known as "Brač 100K," has become a community effort, drawing support from local residents, firefighters, doctors and public figures.

All proceeds are directed to the nonprofit association More snage Brač, which provides psychological counselling for cancer patients and their families on the island. Donations are collected through an account at the Red Cross of Brač, aiming to fund a dedicated psychotherapist and ease the burden of those affected by cancer.

The swim has also highlighted the island’s solidarity, with volunteers meeting each of Lukšić’s daily stages, offering logistical help and moral encouragement, while local officials such as Ivana Maričić and Ranko Dragičević have promoted the humanitarian goal alongside the sporting challenge.
