STL Trustees unveils STL Capital Group holding structure

STL Trustees Limited (STL) has announced the formation of STL Capital Group, a new holding company structure designed to consolidate its trusteeship, asset management, and capital and advisory businesses. The restructuring aims to provide a unified platform to offer a wider range of financial solutions, including wealth preservation, estate planning, investment management, and capital raising.

The transition follows approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), allowing the entities to operate under a Capital Market Holding Company framework while maintaining individual regulatory boundaries for each subsidiary. Managing Director Funmi Ekundayo stated that the move is intended to capture emerging opportunities in Nigeria’s capital market as businesses seek increased funding and working capital.
