Romanian police arrest multiple suspects for theft and robbery

Police in various Romanian regions have conducted several arrests related to theft and robbery. In Pitești, four individuals, including two minors aged 15 and 17, were detained for multiple thefts, including a robbery at a car wash where approximately 700 lei was stolen.

In Râmnicu Vâlcea, a 46-year-old man was detained after attempting to steal a bag from an 85-year-old woman. The suspect was pursued and immobilized by a group of young men before police arrived.

Other recent law enforcement actions include the arrest of two youths in Târgoviște for robbery involving threats and theft of personal items, and the detention of two suspects in Huedin for robbery. One suspect reportedly attempted to escape by jumping from a police station window. In Bistrița, a 50-year-old man was detained for illegal possession of weapons and ammunition following house searches.
