Stockdale Capital Partners launches credit platform and acquires retail center

Stockdale Capital Partners, a Los Angeles-based investment firm, has launched a new real estate credit platform to expand its strategy beyond equity investments. The platform aims to provide flexible capital solutions across the United States, including mezzanine loans, senior bridge loans, and special situation investments. The firm has set a short-term deployment goal of approximately $300 million over the next 12 months, targeting loan opportunities between $15 million and $75 million.

To support this initiative, Stockdale appointed Alec Maki, formerly of Fortress Investment Group, as senior vice president of credit investments.

In a separate transaction, Stockdale Capital Partners and Hamilton Lane acquired the Shoppes at Chino Hills in California for $157 million. The 378,140-square-foot lifestyle center is anchored by Trader Joe’s and Barnes & Noble. The buyers intend to implement a rebranding and repositioning program to attract new national retailers and experiential concepts to the property.
