Stockholm entities advance sustainability through green bonds and net zero certification

Wallenstam has issued 300 million SEK in green bonds to fund energy efficiency renovations for the Sergelskrapan building in central Stockholm. The project aims to reduce energy consumption by at least 30 percent through upgrades to the facade, ventilation systems, and building controls.

Separately, the Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre and the adjacent Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel have achieved ‘Verified Net Zero’ status. Verified by TÜV Rheinland, this certification follows the Radisson Hotel Group’s initiative to address emissions across energy use, operations, and the supply chain. The facility utilizes solar panels and water from Klara Lake for cooling to support its sustainability goals.
