Stockholm hosts major climate demonstration with 50,000 participants

Over 50,000 people gathered in Stockholm for a major climate demonstration, marking one of the largest protests of its kind in Sweden in recent years. The event included participants from various social classes and age groups, as well as over 280 organizations.

The demonstrations were initiated by the group ‘Rebellmammorna’ (Rebel Mothers), who held a 24-hour manifestation at Sergelstorg involving speakers and researchers from leading academic institutions. Participants from different regions, including Bollnäs and Sjuhärad, traveled to the capital to advocate for stronger climate policies and to express concern for future generations.
