Stockholm Pride week draws massive crowds despite rain

Program highlights included testimonies from LGBTQ+ asylum seekers in Pride House, debates with regional politicians on inclusion, art installations such as Richard Klarby’s recycled‑material works and Ylva Maria Thompson’s “Yoni Casting” sculpture, and performances by Silvana Imam and Omar Rudberg that energized the crowd. Discussions also covered sexual health, gender norms, and the rights of people with disabilities. The event underscored ongoing efforts to secure visibility, dignity and legal protections for queer people across Sweden.
