A security incident occurred near the Royal Palace in Stockholm on Tuesday, October 6, involving an armed individual. Police were alerted at approximately 18:30 to an aggressive man brandishing a knife, who reportedly threatened security guards at the building.
Law enforcement officers opened fire with live ammunition to subdue the suspect. The individual sustained serious injuries, including a gunshot wound to the leg, and remains hospitalized; however, his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The event gained significant attention due to its proximity to a visit by Crown Princess Victoria.
