Stockholm Stock Exchange declines amid mixed corporate reports

The Stockholm Stock Exchange experienced a broad decline during midday trading on Thursday. The OMXS30 large-cap index fell by 2.0 percent, with trading volume reaching 13 billion SEK.

Several major companies led the downturn. Atlas Copco shares dropped 6 percent after third-quarter results failed to meet high market expectations. SEB fell 5 percent following lower-than-expected operating profits and the announcement of a pause in its share buyback program. Sandvik also saw a 4 percent decrease as order intake and margins fell short of analyst predictions. Swedbank shares declined 3 percent despite exceeding profit expectations due to missing revenue targets.

In contrast, telecommunications operator Telia rose 5 percent following its report, as the company raised its full-year guidance for both results and cash flow. Its sector peer, Tele2, also saw a 1 percent increase.
