Stockland begins construction on Birtinya Central masterplan

Stockland has commenced civil construction on the refreshed Birtinya Central masterplan in Queensland. The 28-hectare mixed-use town centre is designed to support regional growth ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The project involves an anticipated development investment of approximately $3.72 billion. Once completed, the precinct is expected to accommodate up to 2,600 apartments and become home to roughly 5,200 residents. The development will also include a mix of retail, commercial, entertainment, and community spaces.

During the construction phase, the project is expected to support up to 964 full-time equivalent jobs annually. Upon completion, the precinct is projected to support approximately 4,200 ongoing jobs and generate an estimated $149.8 million in annual retail, hospitality, and lifestyle spending.
