Stoffel Vandoorne to leave Peugeot WEC team after Fuji 6 Hours
Stoffel Vandoorne will depart from Peugeot’s Hypercar team in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) following the 6 Hours of Fuji. The Belgian driver, who has spent four years with the French manufacturer, is set to return to full-time Formula E competition for the 2026-2027 season with Jaguar TCS Racing.
Vandoorne’s departure from Peugeot follows a period of notable success, including a third-place finish at the 2025 Lone Star Le Mans. He will complete his final WEC weekend alongside teammates Paul di Resta and Nick Cassidy. While his replacement for the remaining championship rounds in Barcelona and Monza has not been officially confirmed, speculation suggests reserve driver Alex Quinn may take the seat.
Vandoorne’s move to Jaguar is reportedly intended to fill the vacancy left by Mitch Evans. This transition comes as Formula E prepares for the Gen4 era, with pre-season testing scheduled for November.
