Stoke Games launches Tyr tank shooter in Steam Early Access

Stoke Games has launched its free-to-play multiplayer tank shooter, Tyr, into Early Access on Steam. The game features strategic combat where players utilize various armored vehicles with unique abilities, such as cloaking technology, sonar pulses, and deployable drones.

Players can select from different tank roles, including light tanks for scouting, damage-focused vehicles for long-range combat, and heavy tanks for close-quarters engagements. The game includes customization options through individual tech trees, ammo slots, and component upgrades.

Stoke Games has emphasized a progression system designed to avoid pay-to-win mechanics, stating there will be no premium tanks or weapons that provide an unfair advantage. A Founder’s Pack is also available for players wishing to support the game, offering exclusive titles and in-game currency.
