Stolipinovo residents launch community cleanup initiative

Residents of the Stolipinovo neighborhood in Plovdiv are launching a community-led cleanup initiative scheduled for September 22. This marks the second major grassroots civic action in the area this year.

Organized by local youth, including Sasho Chirkov and Georgi Kochev, the project is non-political and aims to demonstrate that local change can begin with individual streets and blocks. The organizers are placing a specific emphasis on involving children to teach responsibility and civic engagement through direct action.

This initiative follows a previous large-scale cleanup held on Earth Day, which saw volunteers from Bulgaria, Germany, and Romania participating in waste collection and urban gardening efforts in the district.
