Store Record launches in-transit inventory management feature

Store Record Co., Ltd. has launched a new feature for its Store Record SaaS designed to automate the management of in-transit inventory. The update specifically targets retailers using both the Smaregi cloud POS system and the LOGILESS EC automated shipping system.

Previously, inventory moving between stores and warehouses often became invisible to both systems during the lead time between shipment and arrival. This lack of visibility could lead to inaccurate monthly inventory reporting, incorrect stock turnover calculations, and unnecessary reordering due to perceived stockouts.

The new functionality automatically retrieves shipment and arrival data from both Smaregi and LOGILESS to track goods in transit at the SKU level. Additionally, the system automates the creation of incoming shipment schedules in the destination system, allowing staff to complete inspections via barcode scanning without manual data entry. This integration aims to provide retailers with accurate, centralized inventory data across all locations without requiring a full transition to a complex integrated ERP system.
