Stori Cymru proposes converting former Barclays site in Colwyn Bay
Housing association Stori Cymru has proposed plans to convert the former Barclays bank site at 40 Conway Road in Colwyn Bay into new office space. The building has remained vacant since the bank closed the branch in September 2022.
The proposal includes public reception facilities and ancillary office accommodation. Conwy's Economic Development services have expressed support for the project, stating that repurposing the vacant property would contribute to the vitality and viability of the town centre and support continued employment activity. The plan is currently awaiting a final decision from Conwy Council's planning committee.
