Storm Reid, the 23‑year‑old Emmy‑winning actress from Atlanta, released her latest single “Shotty” on Friday, following her debut “Clean Sweep.” She has recorded more than 25 songs and is distributing them independently through her own label, 1720 Music, to retain creative control. Reid said the indie route lets her sign other artists and producers in the future.

She intends to concentrate on her first EP after completing work on Teyana Taylor’s directorial debut “Get Lite.” Reid also confirmed upcoming acting roles, including the Netflix series “Roommates.” The singer‑actress highlighted that music has become as important to her as acting and that she plans to continue growing both careers.
