Stormers rugby sides face Vodacom Bulls at Loftus Versfeld

Two Stormers-affiliated rugby teams are scheduled to face the Vodacom Bulls at Loftus Versfeld this Friday.

The DHL Stormers Bolts U20 side aims to maintain a perfect season record in the SA Rugby U20 Cup. Following two consecutive wins, the team will undergo several lineup changes, including the return of Jack Benade to the wing and new center pairings of Luca Potgieter and Olunje Mehlomakulu. Head Coach Johno van der Walt noted the importance of cohesion for the new players.

Simultaneously, the Stormers XXIII will compete in a Currie Cup clash against the Vodacom Bulls XV. The squad faces significant injury challenges, with scrumhalf Stefan Ungerer and flyhalf Jean-Luc du Plessis ruled out. Ezekiel Ngobeni will take over the captaincy, supported by a reshuffled forward pack. The Stormers XXIII currently sit sixth on the log and require a victory to remain in contention for the semi-finals.
