STORMRULER announces new album ‘Morning Nautical Twilight’

The St. Louis-based black metal duo STORMRULER has announced their third full-length album, titled ‘Morning Nautical Twilight’. The release is scheduled for December 4, 2026, through Distortion Music Group (DMG), powered by Reigning Phoenix Music.

The upcoming album continues the band’s fantasy-driven storytelling within their ongoing ‘Imperial Chronicles’ narrative. To accompany the announcement, the band released the first single, ‘Chapter II: In The Eye Of Umbria’. According to vocalist and guitarist Jason Asberry, the track serves as the first part of the story set in the present-day realm of Aurelia, introducing key characters and establishing the setting for the rest of the album.

Asberry noted that the single explores new facets of the band’s sound, blending heavy metal rhythms and soaring leads with folk influences while maintaining their established style. The album features a multi-chapter tracklist, beginning with ‘Prologue: The Weary Traveler’ and continuing through various chapters of the chronicle.
