Stoupa ATM explosion results in 200,000 euro theft
Unknown perpetrators detonated an ATM in Stoupa, Messinia, early Saturday morning, stealing approximately 200,000 euros. The explosion occurred shortly before 4:00 AM at a machine located outside a supermarket on the Kalamata–Areopoli National Road.
The blast caused significant damage to the ATM and the facade of the adjacent supermarket. No injuries were reported, despite the area currently seeing high tourist activity. The stolen funds had been loaded into the machine only the previous day.
