Stéphane Dupuis detained in Quebec drug trafficking case

Stéphane Dupuis, 57, was arrested in Rimouski, Quebec on the night of June 29‑30 as part of a drug‑trafficking investigation that began in March 2026. He waived his right to bail, and Justice Sonia Cyr ordered his continued detention. Dupuis appeared by video link from the Rimouski detention centre while the court set a July 13 hearing for his plea.

Search warrants executed at his home and two vehicles in Saint‑Anaclet‑de‑Lessard recovered more than 200 g of cocaine, CAD 52,000 in cash, over 1,000 prescription tablets, quantities of GHB, psilocybin, THC vape pens, a prohibited firearm, and a 2014 Acura MDX. He now faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and illegal possession of a firearm, with additional pending matters from a prior September 2024 arrest related to drug trafficking.
